Terms of use

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

1. Service

FreePDF offers free tools to work with PDF files that run in your browser. The service is funded by advertising.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the tools only with documents you own or are authorized to use. In particular, “Unlock PDF” requires you to know the document’s password and must not be used to bypass protections on other people’s documents.

3. No warranty

The tools are provided “as is”. Although we care about quality, we do not guarantee a perfect result for every file. Always keep your original documents. FreePDF is not liable for losses resulting from the use of the service.

4. Electronic signature

“Sign PDF” inserts an image of your signature (simple electronic signature). It is not equivalent to a qualified, certificate-based digital signature.

5. Advertising

While processing, an ad is shown whose length depends on the complexity of the job. Attempting to automate or abuse the service may block its use.
